As a Mind Coach working in the world of personal development, success achievement and mind control helping others develop a personal development plan, it always amazes me how people judge their value by what they think other people are worth.

Hi Jon

Well, we know you and we respect your dry sense of humour. But to the vulnerable member of the general public who is looking for your help it could appear to be arrogant. Should the video be a little longer, allowing for the dry smile, the I’m only kidding look, Just ro take the sting away from the comment.

Regards

David.

truth is not always pretty – they shoot the messenger, don’t they?
regardless, the beauty of the net is you’ll only attract those who value themselves to the level of your fee
- i like your straight forward, no bull, approach , and when your message irritates me, I know there’s something in me to release

Alvaro September 11, 2009

Hi John! How are you doing??
As you requested me, I think that you actually might come across a bit arrogant, although I know that is not your intention.

Hi Jon

Great story! Love it. Reminds me of the time that someone accused me of not taking their problems seriously enough… I said “The problem is YOU ARE!”

Looking forward to more…

It was a very good comment, while it is true and can make someone thinking, not everybody will see the “face value”… So yes, some with poor self esteem or low income will find it arrogant. For those, you may have to put it in a context that will stretch their mind a little bit more.

Hi Jon

Hmm I wouldn’t agree that the video is arrogant. I think it’s assertive and confident, which is very much your style, and what I suspect clients would want in a mind coach. I think it makes the point very well!

Hope this helps,

Cheers

Jason

John,
errrrrrr, not sure, It sounded like you were a bad comedian, where it went flat. I never get jokes anyway.

Take care
Pam

Hi Jon,

I can see what your marketing advisor meant. Only because at first I thought you said… “I certainly don’t think you are.” Then I realised that’s not what you said. I think if you slow down the last part and put the emphasis on the fact that HE obviously didn’t think HE was worth it, it would be fine. I think it’s quite funny, actually. :-)

Yes, that was arrogant

Terry September 11, 2009

Arrogant, confidence or truth…that’s what I hear and that’s what I like about you and what you have to offer and show and tell!
If someone asks you what’s 2 + 2 and you say 4 and they didn’t know that,
then they feel not ok, then they’ll show you by giving you a label…
you s o b…your arrogant…you bas…hmmm…you’re right…you’re smart or
your smart!

David Redman September 11, 2009

Not arrogant at all, just showing how little value that person put on himself!!!

James September 11, 2009

Hmmm. Is the first part that comes to mind, I’ll be honest, that if I wasn’t too familiar with things I’d listen to it over, and over again. I can tell that there is a twist in there thats almost urging my curiousity to want to listen to it again. Arrogant, no, not at all.

In being honest, I believe that its just the right message to get someone to listen to it again, and its just the right length as well. This really is a no fluff kind of message, and it does something that most personal development sites don’t – it plays from a negative perspective. I personally like that, it seems more truthful – I really like the video Jon.

If ya cant take the blisters keep out of the fire …….

Very good advertising, getting everybody to watch and comment. I enjoyed the sharpness and fun.

pat September 11, 2009

why are we all looking to see if this is arrogant?
If you played a tape of a bunny hopping down the street and asked if you thought that this was arrogant, some people would say ..

Martin September 11, 2009

Hi All, I guess this is just a clever marketing stunt to instigate lots of replies and comments, just like these, to help build and substaniate the mailing list and swell the hits on the websites. Everyone will look because of the way the suggestion to look was was made, its begging to be viewed – and thats what this business of our is about – suggestion – it worked! You should all know by now that Jon is the Master of Suggestion!!
Arrogant? Yes it was,(the video that is) but thats all part of the plot. Jon isnt arrogant but certainly he IS confident and rightfully so and there’s a big difference. Nice one Jon, I may use a simialar ploy to boost my own website. Nice to hear from you, take care.

Bob Burness September 12, 2009

At first I thought it as a serious question on the video and thought out a nice and fancy reply, however having taken the time to read all the comments above I can only agree it was a great marketing ploy, and brilliant advertisement for your skills as a giver of suggestion.

Excellent hook John, well done.
